4.62 IEQ Satisfaction Score
This score indicates the users’ mean satisfaction with the indoor environmental quality in the building’s primary spaces. It is expressed on a Likert-type scale from 1 (very dissatisfied) to 7 (very satisfied). The score is derived from the results of the Sustainable Post-Occupancy Evaluation Survey (SPOES) by averaging the score from each of the IEQ categories in order to fairly represent overall satisfaction with the physical environment.

Primary Occupied Spaces
The Minnesota Senate Building serves as the office space for members of the Minnesota Senate, their staff, and other support staff. The building includes legislative chambers, office space, conference rooms, and common areas. Only the overall facility and primary workspaces were included in this study.
Reports
The Sustainable Post-Occupancy Evaluation Survey (SPOES) is a self-administered, Internet-based questionnaire developed to assess human outcomes in indoor settings. The survey was completed by the user group of the primary space and analyzed by the B3 Post-Occupancy Evaluation team. The SPOES reports document user satisfaction with the physical environment as related to various indoor environment quality criteria, such as lighting, thermal, and acoustic conditions.

See the B3 Post-Occupancy Evaluation website for more information.
